Plan For Blogging Success

Maybe you’re informing your local community about obscure knowledge you’ve found on the far reaches of the Internet or posting recipes for a delicious entrée. That’s wonderful and noble in its own right. But if you’re getting a little bored with that and want to go beyond that, then you’ll need to improve at least five different aspects of your blog. Here are some thoughts on how to do that:
1) Being a great community resource online is terrific and very positive. But being part of the community also means—well, being part of the community. Get out and get active (yes, offline) to connect with those in your community.
2) Being a professional blogger means taking time out of your day to write for your audience. Writing posts about how lackadaisical you’ve been simply won’t cut it in the professional blogging world.
3) If blogging is your income-earner, then dive into building an audience, of learning about stats, and delivering something that can’t be found anywhere else on the Web.
4) If you’re a news or entertainment blogger, make it abundantly clear that this is your intention, and also make it clear that this isn’t a hobby blog or something for people to take lightly.
5) If your site is the go-to source for whatever topic you’ve chosen to tackle (making it clear what your focus is should be a top priority by the way) scour feeds for news and information that will maintain your blog’s freshness and relevancy.
